Columbia Road Style Talk with Dog Walk Style

We caught up with neighbouring shop owner, Florrie, of Dog Walk Style to chat about how she was inspired to start her business and her plans for the forthcoming Columbia Road Jubilee Celebration on Thursday 2nd June.

My inspiration for the shop is definitely my dog Monty. He loves being stylish and being complimented. He is also very patient at fitting the prototypes that we designed and made by ourselves. Opening a shop on Columbia Road has been a dream of mine since I moved to Bethnal Green many years ago. I was walking Monty down the street that day and the shop was available. That's how it happened.

2. What do you love the most about your business ?

I love meeting all the local people, dog lovers and obviously the dogs and cats who come to our shop. I love designing our window and like my shop to be a place for dogs and people to make new friends.

3. Tell us a little more about your forthcoming Jubilee Plans ?

We are hosting a Corgi Parade and Corgi Coronation for the Columbia Road Platinum Jubilee Celebration. We also designed a range of Royal pet accessories as part of the celebration. Check them out in our window and on our instagram @dogwalkstyle 

4. Tell us about your favourite local places for shopping and eating ?

My favourite local places for shopping are definitely on Columbia Road. You can always find some unique items for your home, garden or yourselves in HM Jones, JH Lee, Jump like Alice, Precious and The Garden Shop. The shop owners are very friendly and they make me feel like home. My favourite eating place is Lupo's, Monty always gets a treat in there. 

5.How would you describe your fashion style ?

Something easy to wear, stylish and modern. I really like the French collections you stock at Precious including Suncoo and Louizon.
